Yeh, I've got some inside scoop on that. It's not so much about size as much as it is about frequency and volume. If you hit the right frequencies and volumes it is possible to cause subdural hemotomas and brain hemorages. It is possible to get brain hemorages from high end commercial equipment, so one needs be careful. If you do it to yourself enough it is possible to damage your brain enough to have a negative affect noticable by others (but probably not by you).
