I'm not quite sure that practicality is the reasoning behind this project. Of course buying a bike would be safer in all aspects, but why not post a video showing how to make your own? I think you're reading a little too far into this.

exactly, what about finding a bike frame with no rust, no dents, that fits you too.this project is good in spirit but a drastic oversimplification. what about measuring the chain length?what about finding/buying the right wheels?what about wrapping the bars with grip tape?you didn't mention pedal installation either.stupid hipsters, not necessarily you guys who made the video...just in general hipsters suck
