That sounds like the Eradicator. I suppose I would be alright with that design but I don't have a problem with Superman's current suit design anyway.

From the series of comics after Superman 'died' and there were about 3 replacement versions in varying outfits but one or it was when Superman returned had a more black red blue with angled cut designing. Anything other than leotard body suit or classic Mexican wrestler outfit material.
