Dr. Nakano and Dr. Goto said they hoped this technology to aid less-skilled vocaloid users.This will be also applicable to adjust synthetic voices.

Apparently, this new program, "VocalListener Hatsune Miku" is done by "turning human recorded voice into vocaloid parameter data" So it's less synthesized and closer to a fusion between voice changer and synthesizer.
