I've had this song for years on a compilation CD, first time I've ever seen footage of the man. Thanks for posting it - superb video. Going to buy his live CD now!

1970 Evanston Illinois we put together music at Tuna Fish in the old Levy Center. One featured a performance art rock band of 18 kids, we called ourselves The Amorphous Groin. We opened for what was billed as "The Phil Upchurch Group" which was Donny Hathaway on keys and vocals and Rufus Harley, from Philadelphia, PA, on jazz bagpipes. I think Gene Barge was also on this amazing gig playing tenor. The Groinettes certainly remember that night!
