At least she was right about the pressure, the angle & pushing down on the icing. But I have to agree, the rosettes are not all that great.

I think the video was good. They did look like rosebuds and the leaves and stems were good too. I like the video. Many thanks.

that's not even a frickin' rosette! rosettes are not zig-zags or flowers... this lady can't make roses either she shouldn't be shown making stuff like that for a place called "expert village" because there is no way she's an expert...

zig-zag? I have seen many ways to make icing rosetts....this one is new to me. i will have to try this zig-zag thing to see if it works. i have serious doubts. without a clear close up video of the final product, and without clear instructions it's hard to see how "just zig-zag" will look anything other than icing that is zigged then zagged all over.

not a "zig-zag" either

That is not even in a flower catagory. I have been decorating 20+ years and taught for 8 of those. I have never seen anything this bad. Who ever this "expert video is they are no experts.

This was taken using digital video, right? You could have redone those rosettes as many times as you wanted, because the technique in this video is just not pretty. I hope Ms. Linda does better with the cakes she makes for her clients, because this is a poor demonstration! |
