A short film I shot about my experiences of Cornwall. It's basically a montage piece which is aimed at tourists. It features shots on the beach, from the car and some aerial photography. It's worth noting this is very long - around the 19 minute mark. It's been compressed quite highly so the quality is at about 50% and the music is not the true music of the final piece, just a temp score (temp music by Thomas Newman). It was shot in and around the Porthtowan area (basically the mid-North Cornish coastline) but also features some of the nearby area.It was shot on a PD-150 on mini-DV and knocked together on iMovie. Thanks to Colin O'Neill from the University of Bristol for the lend of the equipment. For my Gran who I know will love this on the cold winter nights!

Putting this video up wasn't meant to spark a political debate regarding the allegiance of the Cornish, its purpose is to illustrate the beauty of the place and nothing else. BUT as long as things don't get offensive to people (as some posts have in the past) these comments can stay as it's only right people can express their opinions.Should they, however, get offensive to the Cornish, the English or anyone who has made a previous post your comments will be removed.Enjoy the video.

OK seriously Cornwall where did this Celtic rubbish come from? is it the latest trend or something? You realise don't you that Cornwall has been part of England well before parts of the North were part of EnglandSure, be proud that your from Cornwall but for christs sake stop pretending to be Celtic when your not. And stop mistaking a pride in your region for a cause to be a home nation. Otherwise we might as well make Yorkshire and Lancashire home nations

Cornwall is "home" to me. I live in the china clay country and nothing feels better than to see the Cornish Alps, to drive through bugle and roche and see all the little sheds and homesteads, the heath and bracken, the windswept trees... It makes your heart glow. Happyness is boots covered in clay, smoke coming out the cottage chimney, pasty warming in the cloam oven, st austell ale cooling in the fridge, and Laurence Reed on the radio. If you're from Cornwall you'll know exactly what I mean.

Inland is different - huge variety of scenery. Generally very ragged and in parts wild. That's partly what DOES make it different from other parts of England. It has changed over the past 20 years, mostly because most of the Cornish have gone and people have moved in from elsewhere. That's why the accent has almost died out. Most people form other areas move to Cornwall because they love it but seem to eant to change it to where they came from. But that's what happens all over the world.

Cornwall is a beautiful place, and as anyone will tell you, you can't beat the coastlines. Of course people smoke weed and crap like that..but then it's a problem all over the UK..not just here. I will say one thing.. wages here are crap..really crap..theres no reason why they can't pay more. Asides from that the cornish hate change and infrastructure as there is this need to hold onto culture. It is an English County btw.. can't help but feel they're trying to assimilate northern ireland

They love it here far more than the city we moved from.stop smoking that crap and have a look around you instead..theres so much to do here.
