he came to my country to conduct our local symphony orchestra many years ago, and i couldn't afford the tickets. not long after, he died. sigh. you have no idea how i regret not just going anyway!

A wonderful piece of film. In my humble opinion, the real star here is the awesome Sir Adrian Boult. Such economy of movement, but total control, and at all times putting the music first.

I love Menuhin; he has so much passion for music. He IS brilliant and genious violinist. He also supported young musician, that's wonderful. Not just great violinist but also a wonderful teacher and man of excellent! I love everything he plays but especially this piece and his Ave Maria.
