I began the long road of Becoming Ironman in 2004, after my first season of triathlon and Olympic distance race. The Prologue of my Becoming Ironman movie introduces the rest of the movie while covering 2004-2006 racing and training.

Congratulations on your first sprint! I hope the race went well, and I'm glad you've found some motivation here. Best of luck as you continue!

Today i was cycling on the famous Nuerburgring Nordschleife about 150 km, 3500 meter climb. On the last climb i talked to a guy who already had alread made 200 km and >4000 meter climb on this day and he said:"My pain of today is my strength of tomorrow."I totally agree and like that sentence.

Thanks wagonman, I really appreciate the kind note. Very best of luck to you, and I support your approach - many people are "jumping into" IM right now, even as their first triathlon, and you're doing yourself a huge service to take a multi-year approach. You'll learn so much more, and be better prepared. Keep me posted on your progress, and all the best!

Best of luck to you and have no doubt you will reach your goal.

I pretty much choked up with this awesome video. Good music, good words, good editing. I'm currently only at the sprint triathlon capability but I know wholeheartedly that this is just the beginning. I'm giving myself a 4 year timeline and in the end, I *will* be an Ironman.
