Kinda makes todays intro's lame huh? Not at all, they made a lot of effort.Today it's easyer and better. I admire those people.

Aww, the best part is when he talks about 'the old days' and that they use computers now. This is seriously the most awesome thing I have ever seen in my entire life.

and the music too, of course. the score was a big part of the magic of this intro.

i wonder if they saved this mini-town they built, if it's sitting in a storehouse somewhere. man, i'd love to buy that thing.

what they did was so, so amazing. i remember watching this as a kid, mesmerized. it was art meets commerce like i had never seen. it could never look like this with cgi. they gave this neighborhood such a real, magical feel. kudos guys!

They were taped movies off HBO and other stations from the 80's that we still had in the house. This particular one was on a long tape that we just left running picking up The Toy, an episode of Fraggle Rock, and a Kenny Loggins concert. Ah the 80's.

Fascinating. To think how much effort went into rendering a thing like that. Nowadays it can be done for a quarter of the budget and half the time using all computers. Amazing. |
