Phillips big break came in 1984 when he made his first appearance on Late Night with David Letterman. That same year he released his first comedy album entitled E=MO Squared. Moron!!!

Wow, seems like you know a lot about Emo...FYI hes has been around a lot longer than "mid-late 90's". Check your facts! Maybe you've been around since "mid-late 90's"...

Emo is a derivative of punk, and has been around since the mid-late 90's. It's only recently become as mainstream as it is, and it's meaning has largely changed. It's fairly common knowledge. I bet it's on wikipedia even. The only people who don't know this, it seems, is todays emo's...

Most people who are part of emo culture (13-18 is the avg age range) don't even know who Emo Philips is
JackSmith07 (July 18, 2008 at 2:57 pm)
but it must, it simply must. look at him
swazidoughman (July 18, 2008 at 1:27 am)
actually your wrong even more, the term emo as the subculture is short for emotional it has nothing to do with Emo Philips. |
