i'm sure elliott would get a kick out of this. for someone to learn the song this well, must mean they like and appreciate elliott's music. it would be one thing if the cover was mocking the song. but if anything, royal tannenbaums are the ones who made this a depressing song, not elliott.

actually, when he wrote needle in the hay he hadnt done heroin yet. he didnt do heroin until later on. he just used it in the song as symbolism. this is fact, not my interpretation.

this is so distasteful. the guy killed himself. this whole song is about how much heroine has ruined his life and for kermit the fucking frog to be singing it is sacrilege. somethings can just never be funny and i think suicide and drug addiction are two of them. he was a tortured soul and its like your just mocking him for it
