Go down, go down, bright sunshineGo down, hide your light.Mourn for your leafs, you forest,I will mourn for my youth. Cry, forest, cry my sister, let's cry - me and you; cry for your leafs you sister,I will cry for my youth.Your leafs, forest, my sister, will come back to you;my youth, forest, my sister, will never return!***I've just watched the "300" epic movie. In the beginning you can hear short bulgarian folk theme as a background, and at the end of the movie when the Queen sorrows over the death of Leonidas you can hear another beautiful bulgarian folk song - both instrumental and vocal from Rhodope mountains region in Southern Bulgaria. The name of the song in the movie's soundtrack is "Message for the Queen", composed by Tyler Bates, an US film music producer and composer and based on "Zaydi, zaydi yasno Slance".

Tyler Bates - The composer of the movie "300" responding to Macedonian claims:"As the composer of the music titled 'Message For The Queen', I would like to make it clear that while the introduction expresses the woodwind melody present in many recorded versions of the song "Zajdi, Zajdi Jasno Slance", this music is equally based on Bulgarian traditional folk music."I don't know how much more evidence about the origin of the song do you want?

This song just make me watch the movie again. Such a successful combination of tragedy and hope. It just arouse in me the very primary feelings a man can get - beeng a parent, a frend or somebodys half...
