Now, compare that result to when Carl Macek "adapted" Macross to spawn his Robotech mess.If you ever get to see the original series, and also Robotech, you'd end up remembering all the genealogical tree of Macek and Harmony Gold, and not exactly in good terms.

Then they should let the japanese group write the script, don't you think?What i mean is that the "concept" of "animation" in USA is, as you may well know, completely different from the asian one.EX: when the Wachowsky bros wanted to do "Animatrix", they let the script writers and directors to do the episodes with full freedom. They didn't even mark one comma nor one exclamation point. The result is wonderful.

I wasn't comparing the two. Yes, I'm talking seriously about how I want 20th century fox to do a good adaption on Cowboy Bebop.

First, i havent' seen the speed racer movie, so i can't tell.Second, i don't know if you are talking seriously or ironically.Third, it makes no difference, for if you are comparing "Speed Racer" with the complications of "Cowboy Bebop" in script and characters complexity, then you have no idea of what are you talking about.What's next, "Mazinger Z" with "Evangelion"?

Yeah, just like how the speed racer movie sucked balls. I hope 20th century fox does a good job finding the right director and the right actors and I hope it has a good story.

On the line of Hayao Miyazaki, who sent Harvey Weinstein, Disney's responsible for Nausicaa, a katana with a one line message: "No cuts", i hope Shinichiro Watanabe, the director for Coybow Bebop, will do something similar. Or we'll be facing the worst adaptation ever, with (of course!, it has to be a second issue, IF the fans ask for it...) Spike "surviving", and "cloning Julia"....I don't even want to think about it.

I just hope the japanese team will not let some bloody idiot to direct it and write the script. Ie, as in "adapt it" for the teenage market, which is the greatest in econimical power in USA. Or we'll be facing something as disgusting as Batman & Robin after Tim Burton's first two Batmans.
