Just check out good/true Prog Metal bands like Dream Theater, Redemption, Fates Warning, etc... (many of those bands have members that are religious but religion is something you deal with on your own and not thru musical taste...)

Becoming the Archetype has some progish parts. They`re mainly death metal though. They`re great none the less.
