That's kind of how I see it - even if there is a god, we wouldn't be able to come close to comprehending it... thus it's pretty irrelevant in the scheme of things one's belief one way or the other.I find it much more freeing to live my life like there weren't... not being restricted to words that humans wrote thousands of years ago. To view the universe from the perspective of reality, rather than religion.
