southerners pay alot more taxes in their good jobs,to keep the north goin.the government isnt at fault,if the yorkshire men got off there arses they might of given the government a reason to save them,their council houses and their 24 kids.

im northern and dont consider myself a different race, the reason they didnt seem to help as much was because it was so much more widespread in the north and was harder to deal with, the government did help, just not u personally
