This incident was video recorded by Simon Lowe. 233 people where on board this jet bound for Lanzarote. The number 2 engine sucks in one bird (a crow or corvid) as the plane rotates off the runway.T.V. news reports of two herons being sucked in are wrong.Congratulations to the crew and air-traffic controllers for the calm and professional way they dealt with the situation. Don't be, pilots are trained for all these types of emergencies, and it's still the safest way to travel ;)
