Wow what a voice! No wonder the band gets him! Arnel deserves it and vice versa!Lets just support people with great talent like him...Congratulations journey!

and the band existed well before steve perry came aboard numbskull. betcha didn't know that. you made a stupid comment ("aw, these are all steve's songs"), and now are backtracking from it. SP, and AP, do not have songwriting honors, so they are both in fact, hired singers. why that is so hard for you I can't comprehend. HS dropout?. take down your steve perry posters and stop playing with yourself you might learn something. on second thought, I doubt it. go easy on the chafing dweeb.

a lot of passionate Journey fans here..lol bottom line...Arnel can sing their song. they wanted HIM so they got HIM. i respect Steve Perry but he let the chance passed him by. they're just living the dream of doing what they love doing best so let's not waste our time debating. if u like THIS Journey buy the album if not then just move along ok.

They were talking about this dude on Howard Stern the other day. Howard said that Steve Perry was asked by Neil Shone to get the band going again but Steve said no. Neil saw this guy on the web and was shocked. After they started to get kind of big again Steve wanted to come back but Neil said he was not needed.

Goof, what do you not understand about "the singer makes the song." I didn't think the concept was that difficult. Understand this imbecile, without Steve Perry, Jonathan Cain would be nothing. Now, if you STILL don't get it, go buy Journey albums Infinity through Captured. I don't seem to remember any J. Cains songs on those, and gosh, they seemed to be doing quite well as a band.Dumbass

I have to assume english is not your first language, because your response was so stupid. Jonathan Cain wrote the songs - you made some stupid comment about Arnel signing Steve's songs but not the other way around. If you knew just the bare minimal amount about Journey, you'd know they aren't Steve's songs in the first place. They're J. Cains. Dolt.

gee...could you not have put that in one reply?
