to say that classical musicians are tape recorders is silly, very silly. when you practice five or six hours a day at a musical instrument you are giving your life to it and if these pieces only existed on a recording they would die, we need people to continue to play them. John williams plays this better than segovia, not that i'm knocking segovia. ho ho ho

actually musical language is there to help you communicate with other musicians instead of just saying "play this!" you can tell him what it is. has nothing to do with the writing process unless you want it to

the score is just a score... I see it, I learn from it and that's all;] The interpretation and feelings whle playing are in me, it's not noted in the score ;>
