The I ching is not the oldest system...the Ifa' divinatory is the olders system. it comes from the YORUBA people and utilizes a binary system consisting of 256 oddus or combinations. I'ching is but an extension of IFA'. 64x4=256... Ifa' is believed to be over 7,000 yrs old. There is a supposed legend that the Deity, Obatala'-Ayaguna, a warrior deity traveled to the east and contributed, if not, introduced the I'ching. Very interesting indeed!

I use the I-Ching in cloudy situations. Once i was envolved in a particular case and at some point i didn't understand anymore what was going on. I decided to rely on the advice of the I-Ching. The case went on for ten months in which i counceled the I-Ching many many times, always acting according to the instructions. I never understood what was going on all the time and i still don't, but i came out of the situation completely undamaged and i made a lot of people happy. I moved on unhindered
