I've seen Aniello Desiderio performing this piece live - he simply blew us away.

I have known William's recordings and seen his concerts (also with LAGQ) and must say he keeps staying on the top for so many years. One thing that fascinates me besides his fabulous music though is his beginner student-like left hand position, particularly his pinky and index finger sticking out. It looks ralaxed at times, other times tense. How can you play so flawlessly with this handicap, William?

Cool ass piece of music!!!!! I have been in classical guitar for 8 years and I don't know why I never had heard this piece before. I getting the sheet music.

They are all custom guitars but I think he did not spec them before they were built. I'm pretty sure he's playing a guitar by Thomas Humphrey (RIP) these days, used to play guitars by Paul Jacobs. This one sounds like the PJ guitar on "Carribean Souvenirs"No matter, he sounds great (and pretty much the same) on anything he plays.

yes her interpretation owns.

it's a unique intepretation, a bit modern-sounding. although i prefer it a bit slower since it's a beautiful piece and 3:21 mins (for its most famous movement) doesn't give each note of the masterpiece enough justice. I'd like to hear his interpretation of the whole piece. Anyone knows a link? |
