A Sniper's Promise is an Irish Rebel Song, sung by Wolfe TonesIf you love IRELAND, GO THERE : http://www.dailymotion.com/the... song is about Redemption, not 'bout war nor hate !!-- Ulead for the movie editingExcerpts from Enemy At The Gates, by JJ Annaud, with Ed Harris and Jude Law LYRICSThe night was icy cold I stood alongI was waiting for an army foot patrolAnd when at last they came into my sightI squeezed the trigger of my armaliteCHORUSOh mama, oh mama comfort meFor I know these awful things have got to beBut when the war for freedom has been wonI promise you I'll put away my gun.A shot rang out, I heard a soldier cry"Oh please don't leave me here alone to die"I realized his patrol had run awayAnd left their wounded comrade for me to slay.CHORUS"There's nothing in this world I would not doIf there's mercy in your heart you'll let me live"And in his eyes I saw a look of painAs the mussel of my gun moved towards his brain.CHORUSThe dawn was breaking as I reached my baseI will not forget the look on that boy's faceFear, agony, and torment where all thereOh but to your memory, mother, his life I spared.CHORUS

the Irish told the British to get out, they didnt, they are stubborn England wont give up till they have somthing from Ireland and Ireland doesnt want to give to the British that stole their land

My comment about the English staying within their own borders is not just directed toward the English. All countries should stop meddling with others. That's my belief.

as english myself (and proud!) i agree that the english should'nt be in Ireland but surely there is a more peaceful way to end this not just cold blooded killing

in that i am in totaly agreement any sniper with any brains would know after taking a shot, you wait if they dont know where you are take one more and straight away relocate. koning was overconfident in his abilities. i mean he used a few sheets of metal between him and zaitzev to hide and once he took the shot he should of withdrew and stayed down.

Koning being a ww1 vet and the head of the German sniper school in Berlin-you would think he would have known to relocate,He apparently misjudged how excellent of a sniper Zaitsev was
