To Distractivcom: I really think that this piece is great, so beautiful that cleans my soul, reaches to my heart. I like the part changing dramatically, becomes quiet and beautiful again. I didn't know about Romanian music. It had influences on his composition. That's wonderful because I am Japanese, and I don't think Japanese traditional music influence on too many Japanese musicians when they compose music. We have ver beatiful and peaceful melodies in Japanese traditional music.

To marighim2008: Thank you so much for the information. I thought that he is playing this piece, but acutually he wrote this piece. Andm the violin is Cristina Anghelescu. Thanks again. Enescu is so gifted. I love this piece. I have listened this again and again! I didn't know about Romanian musicians, but now I really like Romanian violinists and great musicians. I have so much respect for them.

Membership ethnic may be interesting only as a possible source of inspiration for the musical creation of the composer. Do not be forgotten Romanian folklore influence in Enescu creation, evident in the two Romanian Rhapsody, Sonata for violin and "Suite No.3 "village". Racism has no place here and nowhere! My English is poor! Sorry!Best regards!

The full name of this piece is "Ballad for violin and orchestra, op.4a", violin: Cristina Anghelescu, National Radio Orchestra, Conductor: Horia Andreescu; product: Olympia, London and Electrecord. Attention, the name of this piece may be confused with the composition of another Romanian composer, Ciprian Porumbescu, "Ballad" Let me recommend to listen, is beautiful! He was gypsy, not Enescu (or Enesco) I think „Bevicenzola" make a mistake.

What the difference between being Romanian Gypsy and Hungarian Gypsy. Why do you hate Romanians? If you are Gypsy, why don't you like Gypsies? What is wrong with being a Romanian? Roman Empire used to ruled there and almost all over the Europe, so the name Romania came from Rome. So, you might have Romanian blood. So, what is wrong with that?

I love your comment, but please do not use "F" word. Thank you!!

I totally agree with you. I have so much respect for the great musician like him. It is a lot of hard work and practice being a good musician. Many hours of practice every single day for many years. My son is a violinist, so I have seen his work. He is nothing like him, but many violinists and musician practice so much every day. Being a good musician is very, very hard.
