I'm a 14 year old clarinettist who's been playing for a couple of years. You obviously "kedav" don't understand the genius of mozart and this intricicies of the piece that make it so beautiful and so famous. I love this recording and especially love the tempo. I'm playing this song in a tour of austria at the end of the year and find this piece challenging for the depth u must put in, and for the challenging rhythm. grow some skill kedav.

Well maybe you did play it, but I doubt that there was any acual right notes or any expression in the piece. Mozart's music is ment to have the most emotion possible that the instrumentalist can provide!

that's a pretty annoying comment all around. 1) Mozart is a genius beyond your comprehension... clearly.2) If you have been playing clarinet for a couple months you either didn't win anything or it was a nationwide competition for suck.Just "oppiniating"

This has to be my favourite piece to play - it's so beautiful. However, I find the third movement (rondo) more challenging, so its more fun in a way. But, obviously I'm not as good as it as I am at the adagio. Haha.Mozart really was a genius.

The Mozart concerto (especially the adagio) really isn't about technical fireworks. It is a beautiful piece of high classicism, requiring beautiful tone and phrasing, breath control and restrained expression. No clarinetist is better for this, in my opinion, than Mr. Shifrin. Add him playing the bassett clarinet which approximates the original concerto's performance, and a lovely orchestra conducted by Schwarz, you have this wonderful recording.Still, good for you in your competition.
