PnyPlayAllDay YOU"RE rubbish! Jere in America, after a car has been tested as far as it can with crash dummies, real people are used in real crashes. These people make huge money to drive a vehicle at seventy to seventy five miles an hour into a large tree or concrete berm such as in this Smart Car video. They use only seat belt and shoulder harness. They survive, usually with minor injuries. I did this, without pay, hitting a tree at 70 mph at age 18, uninjured. I am now 55.

That is rubbish, they have gone back in time 100 years.Anyone can make a car out of solid steel that maintains its shape in a crash. However the sudden stop would break your back against the seat belt.The challenge is to construct a car with crumple zones to absorb the impact so that the people inside dont die. That car is a death trap, the only advantage is that they can open the door to take the body out instead of cutting the roof off.
