I actually saw him last year...and sadly I have to say he's -really- not like he used to be. He hardly soloed, and seemed to be in quite a bad condition both physically and technically as a pianist...

no, he goes way out man. Listen to all the non-harmonic tones. They sometimes play it like an F7 chord.

Coltrane is the best and this song in particular blows my mind, i love when coltrane starts his solo after the long piano solo.

Has anyone here heard the version of this on the Live in Seattle album? Goes on for 33 minutes and it then fades out because the person recording the concert ran out of tape! Awesome. :)
