youre right.most people think that if you are an"otaku" your bad or something. but as what i said it has a lot of meaning. there a lot of otaku's here in japan. my japanesefriend is also an otaku ( manga otaku) he has a lot of mangas about 500 up but when i ask him if his an otaku he just smile. jap. usually dont admit it. he was the one of many person who told me that otaku doesnt really mean negative.

well..i do know this much.."otaku" usually carries a negative connotation..few ppl in Japan usually admit to being otaku even though there numbers are great..so when someone proudly declares them self so..although most otakus generally are hobbyist building gundam models or what not..well you know what i mean :)

maybe your right. but otaku has a broad/wide meaning. it maybe an extreme obsession or just a hobby. it has a lot of meaning.

thats sounds more like a hobby then an extreme obsession. Otaku are generally more of an extreme case...but its cool to have a hobby

no. im just collecting anime stuffs. ex. posters,miniture anime characters, cards, and recently i bought a costume of my favorite anime character (kanda of d gray man).

well..a supposed 52 yr old woman entered an artist contest and one first prize ..i read it a yugioh magazine..her art and name were presented..although you didn't have to add your age she did..guess your never too old
