The last alliance and the battle of Dagorlad takes place about 3000 years before the event of lord of the rings but elrond was born in the last days of the first age or early in the second but i would reckon that it was late in the first as morgoth was not yet cast from the world and how do you know that glorfindel and haldir were not around at that pont in time however i will give you the point that legolas was not yet born

none of them were there elrond was not born legolas aragorn or gimli or haldir glorfindel ect this was about year 1000 they were born around year 4000 the elf u see if his name is gil galad
