Not mentioned in commentary: Early Mist also fell at the first, Domata @11, Athenian @12, Mariner's Log and Merry Windsor were the only other two not to complete the 1st circuit. Mas Tu Vu and Witty fell @19, Dunboy II @2nd Becher's, Much Obliged @26, Pippykin refused @28, Ontray unseated @29. Eagle Lodge was 4th ahead of Key Royal, Martinique, Carey's Cottage, Clearing and Wild Wisdom.

I hope I didn't seem ungrateful. I am a big fan of Dick Francis novels, and this is a very famous (infamous) moment in Grand National history. This is excellent footage. Thank you for providing it.

That video doesn't synch up with the sound. When the announcer says, "He slipped. He fell down!" You don't see it. You only see it when they cut to the closeup.
