I did the same thing at McDonalds last year. I tried to order a rootbeer float - they sell ice cream, they sell rootbeer, But they wouldn't sell me a freaking rootbeer float because it wasn't on the menu. I had to order a ice cream and a drink then walk over and make the dumb thing myself. Socialism is everywhere and it sucks.

If it gets better than that...I don't know what it is.

(cont. from previous posts)As I walked out, my manager came running after me and demanded I apologize, but of course I refused and she "fired" me, but I had already clocked out and wrote "I QUIT!" on my timecard before tossing said plates, so not only were the customers hacked off, so was she. Needless to say, those customers never came back and neither did I.I can't stand people like that and they weren't going to get away with it.Again, the most satsifying night of my life.

(continued from previous posts)After I explained to my manager that I expected them to pull their crap and made sure they couldn't after making double sure their orders were correct, she still wasn't going to budge because "They were great customers." WTF?!?As I mentioned before, I had had it with her anyway, so I went back to the couple and as I was picking up their plates, instead of walking away, I promptly tossed them back into their laps. Most satisfying night of my life...

(continued from previous post)Because I wasn't happy with my manager to begin with (long story), I was looking for reason to quit, so one night this couple happened to be in my section. I had made sure that their order was letter perfect as I expected them to pull their crap and sure enough, they did. Did I mention they were quite arrogant?Anyway, as I explained to them, their orders were perfect, but still complained and of course the manager let them off.(continued next post)

Something we've all wanted to do at some point in our lives, however I actually did. While waiting tables in SoCal in the late 80's, a couple regularly came into my restaurant, which was fairly spendy and after eating a good part of their meal, they complained and refused to pay. Each time my manager aquiesed, much to the chagrin of my fellow waiters. The couple got a free meal and the waiters got nothing for a tip.(continued next post)
