Bigotry, idolatry, love of money, and every other sin immaginable have infiltrated the church from its begining. The important thing is that people like this man expose these freeks for what they are.

Fractavius,These people make it very clear (with lavish lives that they lead) that their kingdoms are of this world.John 18:36-Jesus answered, " My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, then My servants would be fighting so that I would not be handed over to the Jews; but as it is, My kingdom is not of this realm."

It may be true that these men may be lovers of money. We are forbidden to love money in 1Timothy 6:10

Can you give word for word the tranlation you are using?
Blandified (January 5, 2008 at 6:39 pm)
Quick grammar lesson, not all plural subjects end in "s," take "sheep" and "fish" for example. They can be used both singular and plural. And can you give word for word the tranlating you are using?

"That" or "the" is definitive to mark a specific item or thing. If you say "a" man you don't make reference to a specific man. But if you say "that" or "the" or "this" man it specifically means an exact man with no other options. That's why any translation noting "the" or "that" Antichrist (not antichrists) is a correct rendering to the greek text which is specific in saying "the" Antichrist.

You are correct. "That group" is plural. But the word "group" is the plural part, not the "that" part. Antichrist is singular (no "s") so you would have to use a singular item for your example to compare apples to apples. "Group leader" would be a fair comparison, not "group" as it says antichrist not antichrists with the word "that".

"I am surrounded by priests who repeat incessantly that their kingdom is not of this world, and yet they lay their hands on everything they can get." -- Napoleon Bonaparte
