He died after composing the first, I think, 4 bars of the Lacrimosa. I think it was four measures, anyway. Having said that, he left various notes, as he had started many of the other sections, and a smattering of composers have each put together their own interpretation of how they thought he would have finished it. So the first half of any Mozart Requiem you hear, but the second half is varies from composer to composer. Sometimes you can even hear other parts singing "your" line!

Something like that, but the theory is one of his students finished the rest of the mass (anonymously) so that his wife could collect the rest of the commission.

It's not a symphony its a Requiem and its by mozart. He knew quite lot about music. I think the entire K626 requiem is the best of Mozart. Listen to the Dies Irae and Confutatis and Rex Tremendae, good stuff!!
