If the sniper can make the enemy think theres no sniper and its all fire from ground forces then they should be fine unless the enemy are actively searching for snipers, If they get even a whiff of a sniper a AH-64 could find one in less than a few min'

A question: in modern warfare, and facing an equal oponent, both with air support (eg: AH-64), FLIR devices, drones, etc: are snipers still good, or they could be inmediately detected and killed by those means?or, in other words, are snipers currently useful only facing a less "technological" adversary, like in iraq against insurgents?.With all those technologies, I´m not sure if a modern "stalingrad" could be reedited, with full and efficient use of sniper forces.Thanks!

man i miss being part of the SEAL platoon the only part I hated about going through SEALS recruit training is BUDS I thought about commiting suicide it was pure hell but it was worth it to become the world's most elite HOOYAH!!!

Im going to stick up for the lil ole NZ SAS. We may not be the best SF team, but thats just because we have shit equipment because our govt sucks. however, both the SEALS and SAS say our soldiers are as good, if not better at fighting due to our heritage and bloodlines. Im not trying to start more flamage, just putting my 2 cents in. Its simply our equipment that lets us down.
