im a huge eno fan, and use oblique strategies when im stuck doing soundtrack stuff, but its quite ironic, although very honest of him, to admit to not knowing music theory etc. I suppose its this that may have worked against him in getting any soundtrack comissions. Having said that, he doesnt need them for the dosh and he's never said anything about wanting to do any ( i think?).

I think's it's due to Eno's own confessed unproficiency on theory and musical vocabulary, not the kind of his own theory he's talking about in the video, but of the western music theory which has all the appropriate terms. Eno's been a self proclaimed 'non-musician' anyway.
