"The song 'The Bends' is completely jokey, completely taking the piss. None of that stuff had ever happened to us when we wrote it. That was our Bowie pastiche, our joke song ! And I really do wish I'd never written that fucking song - it's become the bane of my life. Hundreds of journalists asking - every single fucking interview: 'Do you wish it was the sixties ?' No, I don't wish it was the fucking sixties - Levis jeans wish it was the sixties - I certainly fucking don't." - Thom

my favourite band and will always be, perhaps im just a critical bastard because im such a big fan, but this is really poor :/ i was there and thom just seems demotivated... shame, but i guess thats why we love them so much because you dont know what to expect.. Greatest band ever, but bad show :(

doesnt screw it up.. but he evidently drunkish. u can play and instrument and be drunk. he might just be a little

I've heard Thom's drunk-singing before, but this is the first time I've heard him completely bugger a song up with it.

Bullshit. I was there and the audience was into the whole thing, even the then-unreleased stuff. And whether the band wanted to be there or not, they were fantastic.
