Some background to the tune 'Angels from the Ashes'. It was composed by Skye musician Blair Douglas after the attacks on New York on Sept 11th 2001. Research Blair or the track for more info. We put together this arrangement to perform at a tattoo in Denmark in 2006 but had a strict time limit. If you like the melody find Blair's original album track online which has a lengthier melodic development before pipes kick in and a great cello part to start. Enjoy. Drew Sinclair (Pipe Major GPPB)
