When was the last time you explained to your congressman, senator, how you imagine America in the future and he listened to you?Let me guess: the last time it was never. Same here. Haven't you noticed that all the people agitating against NAU are exactly these people and the media? Could it be that Canadians and Mexicans might not be voting for them, or in fact there will be a new united congress with a lot more competition to get in, and they will have to LOOK FOR A JOB AND WORK FOR A LIVING!

This is a great idea. The US is no match for the European Unions's industrial quality, or for China's cheap labor by the millions, and they know it. Besides, you can apply for a job anywhere in a continent-size country without any restriction, and don't forget that wages are a lot higher in Canada!If you fear your freedom will be "lost" (I can't see how), with Canada on board, wiretapping will be a little more difficult!WE only have to gain here. Think about it.

Aldous Huxley wrote "A Brave New World", not Orwell. They had pretty different ideas of where the world is headed. Vague similarities at best. On another note, I wouldn't worry about the Union. What we need to worry about is these unaccountable private tyrannies (i.e Corporations) that have more power than most nations, but people have no input on. They don't respect borders, so independent U.S. or N.A.U. doesn't really matter to them. They can move to whatever country they please.

I'd just like to point out that aldous huxley wrote "a brave new world" not orwell :P They both had very different ideas of where the world is headed.
