what was the cause of this i remember seeing it on a few television shows. I am sure any victims would have been vapourized had they been near the site

I was about 10 miles away at charleston and maryland parkway... at home asleep while this was going on... I slept right through it...

Well I was about 20 miles away in high school PE and you could see the ground ripple what looked like several feet across the playing field. Most kids were left on their butts. |
