Eh. Whenever I've been in a hotel that had a kitchen with a sink, soap, and cups, I basically clean it myself, so...

OMG! I remember never seeing dirty cups in the housekeeping cleaning cart going out for dish washing, I'll never use their glass cups again,only the sealed plastic disposible cup. Gross,their rubber gloves been everywhere,GROSS GROSS GROSS

There is no excuse for cleanliness issues, no matter how much a hotel room costs. What was this last person on? I am a hotel inspector and its unacceptable.

In this report these are all economy hotels $59 to $79 a night hotels .. you get what you pay for. The media has been doing reports like this for years and if YOU haven't figured out that YOU have to look out for your own safety in this great big world then shame on you.

I just stayed at Hotel Arts in Calgary. Having watched this video, I was worried about the glasses so I cleaned the one I was going to use myself. I then applied lip gloss as this is really hard to remove without hot water and soap. The next day, I checked the glass and it was obviously the same one. It had a grease like substance that had been smeared around the glass (presumably the lip gloss) and had been nowhere near a dishwasher. I reported the issue to the management.

im sure these hotels have a kitchen, those maids need to be made to take those glasses to the proper place so they can be sanitized before being put back in the rooms

alright, so what is the correct practise? It is definately hard to hire housekeeping staff and pay a few dollars an hour just to do extra things.
