You can really hear that it's Heather Small on the "hot temptation" lyric in the first verse. She is singing OVER Loleatta's vocal in this particular version. The original album version didn't have Heather's vocal. Also 1:42 to 1:50 REALLY highlights the fact that it's Heather's vocal on this particular version.

What I remember back in the very early '90s was a great controversy because they said that the singer was actually an unknown overweight Italian woman. The blue-eyed black woman in the videos is actually a transsexual.

Actually, this version samples Loleatta Hollway's lyrics from Love Sensation. They didn't get producer Dan Hartman's permission and had to surrender a big chunk of their royalties. They did another version with Small afterward. Then they did another version with lyrics from Martha Wash, who sued because she was never given credit and subsequently she was credited on Strike It Up. She also sued C+C Music Factory, who didn't originally credit her for singing in their songs.
