This was the verses in this particular version. There are more, but they goes the same direction. Still think it`s about forgeveness over David`s affair? No those words is about the general deceitfulness of women. Of course it`s song by a bitter man in heartbreak needing someone to blame. (That at least was what Cohen, the author, said in an itervjew with BBC)In general it`s not a very happy song.
