This movie is a metaphoric example right in your face how mostly culture, society is being build and controlled, what have bring us all kinds of Hitlers/Dictators around the world, holocausts, terrorism, genocide etc. Causes trillion of innocents deaths thought the ages.

Still, I don't think it's correct to compare telescreens and the Internet, even metaphorically.But these are just two different points of view anyway.But I also have to agree with you in one point: if our world is turning into a predicted distopy, it is definitely Huxley's.Another fascinating book by the way.

Metaphorically speaking, dumbshit.. metaphorically speaking. The internet is nothing more than a telephone system, and you know how BB can look in on you at any time? Well, so can DOHS, you can't "dim" wire-tapping, can you? But you are right about one thing- the world is not a dystopia, not like Orwell'sBut it IS becoming one more akin to Aldous Huxley's A Brave New World. If anything you can't deny the basic fact that many of these circumstances have come to pass.
