hahaha.. I noticed also! You're right, Rawda الرَّوْضةُ in arabic means: garden, greens, grassland, grazing ground, green field etc. But which's funny, in my dialect (moroccan arabic) rawda really means cimetry.. by coincidence!!!?Certes, Rawda الرَّوْضةُ signifie: jardin, parc, verger, etc. mais par hasard, ce même mot "rawda" signifie justement cimétiere dans le dialect marocain!!?! mdr

Just returned from Alhambra visit. Beautiful architecture and designs, interior and exterior. Generalife is also stunning. Wooden doors amazing. After 7 years in the Middle East, it was great to see this historical monument to Muslim culture. The streets around the old town of granada were also stunnng. A wonderful, vibrant city which demonstrates the harmonios co-existance of differnet cultures and faiths. Vive Granada.

AmersfoortTristan, according to Thor Heyerdahl Scandinavia and Azerbaijan (that muslim country next to Iran) have common roots. Colonization is a lot older than the history you were taught in school. Your racist comments could be directed at your great great great grandfathers!

I was lucky to visit first thing in the morning, and seemed to have the place to myself for the first hour! The moorish architecture is marvelous, the gardens are ingeniously tucked away all over the site. Being built on a hill side, small irrigation channels feed water between the riads, keeping the place cool. The toilets are the cleanest I have ever encountered at an attraction anywhere in the world. There is even a Parador hotel inside the walls. Great day out.

Islam in Europe is history.. and I hope that it will not be the future. The Islam in Spain and Arabia had a great culture and so did Christian Europe.Let preserve both by not bothering and colonising each other. Yes muslims in Europe this was directed at you.@Spanishpromotions. Thank you for uploading this beautiful promotion vid. I should visit The Alhambra one day.
