Probably! I had not thought of that: he could be laughing at himself, as he keeps stumbling over the American names.There is something utterly charming about it, whatever the reason for it.

for my opinion, i always thought that luciano pavarotti laugh because he hed difficulties to read and spell family names like mentzer or schtehschneider, the name he presented before. there is a names that for italian like him are breaking the teeth. i don't sure i right, but i sure what i think.

I hate soprano's singing this aria. Cherobino is a teenager. This girl UNDERSTANDS perfect what the aria is all about. BUT....EASY please! it is not an intercity train. She should listen to Von Stade and learn from her!
