A lot of misunderstanding here. The Stone Roses are not Britpop...Hacienda anyone? Radiohead aren't either; they are genuine musicians. Manics are of course not Britpop. That's the funniest suggestion I've heard in a while. Basically the only two serious musicians to have emerged from that white, middle class, male movement are Damon Albarn (Coxon was holding him back with his middle class whinging) and Jarvis Cocker (though he'd been around before the early ninetees). The rest was forgettable.
