Joe was a veritable GOD! I'll never forget seeing him 20 years apart! They come along, far and few between! I miss you, JOE!

Only the good die young is such a foolish, line that somebody once uttered in a moment of despair over the body of a youth. People such as DaVinci and Ben Franklin died at a ripe, old age. I loved Joe Strummer, even met him and hung out with him one night, and yea, I think he died way too early but I can't say, only the good die young because he was middle aged, and damned good! So kill that cliche, now! It's b.s. or sound bite crap! Rest In Peace, Joe-- ya beautiful old sod!

Absolutely serious. The guy stayed in shape. Read the biography. Drugs are only part of the story. You can do plenty of drugs (especially smoke) and live to be 120 (hence the current [or recently former, I'm not sure] oldest living human).

Health buff? He smoked cigarettes all his life and did a plethora of drugs in his heyday with the Clash. Are you serious right now? Get a grip. |
