Alright thanks a lot for letting me know, I apologies for sounding like an idiot.

too bad the compression makes that gorgeous car look like a slug buggy

I think that's the point. the 911 model has been around since the early-mid 60's, well over 20 before today, its a timeless carHonestly, other sports cars can outpace the 911, and they are less expensive, but they Aren't a 911. Its just a certain thing about that car...Its the same reason why Porsche will never discontinue the 911 model lines. it has had upgrades, for instance it recently went water cooled, but it will always exist as long as Porsche is around

This is a good commercial, but it's kind of dumb because the kid said that he will see him in about 20 years, the porsche 911 most definitely might not be around that time.

They chose this name long before Sept 11!

nice 5 stars. I was just like that kid back in the day. I wanted all cars, now I'm broke as a joke. Maybe thats what happened to me, I went after everything. I should of focused on one goal and I don't just mean the car.

Porsche originally chose 901 to be the model number of their new car, but the French automaker Peugeot already had a license on all cars with the middle digit as zero. If you look up 911 part numbers they always start with the original model number of the car, 901.
