I agree. There is no creativity these days. It's just the same bad imitations.

Bittersweet memories of this song, when my brother got a kickass new stereo he cranked it and asked me to dance, I was 13 and too embarrased...he passed away about 10 yrs ago and when I hear this, I wished to hell I hadn't been so shy.... *sigh*

Ooo...Steely Dan doesn't have a genre. They're a genre in their own right.

i like rap too. but im more into 90's style rap like 2pac biggie and snoop. but i get what your saying. i have a huge favorite music selection. everything from 60's hippie culture to 70's rock to 90's rap and grunge and rock to 00's modern music but the good stuuf you don't hear about too much like the shins and broken social scene. not nickelback or any shit like that. lol they suck balls.

I'm 19 yrs old and i fucking LOVE Rap music....i grew up listening to Steely Dan and other artists alike...No matter how large my love for rap i will always be into the great styling's of steely and others from his era...So don't say rap is ruining music, there is just way to many people now a days that are uneducated on the roots of the music, and they have not been taught how to appreciate the classics. It's not the music its the uneducated listeners who are unwilling to learn.
