i wouldn't say that it ruins it, but i agree that the beginning is by far the best part of the song and i usually skip the rest of the song ;)still not bad as a whole.

this song is amazing, but they should have made it with only the solo in the beginning, and than just the next song on the CD. Then it would be something special, something short but meaningful. The solo brings you in extase, but then the rest of the songs ruïns it. I always stop the song when the solo ends.great music.

No...it's all about personal opinion and my comments were "in my opinion". I just get sick of people on here saying that Syd was a great creator cuz I think his music sucked. Much more diverse without him!

why do people always start argues about who's the bedst songwriter.. ??? sigh.. grow up man ! music will allways turn out dif. it depends on who you work together whit. aka - Rw / bew aka RW / Clapton aka Gilmore/wrigt/mason aka Gilmore/Anthony Moore/Bob Ezrin.. and again on what producer you have the engineer . who mix the hole damn record.. aka aka aka.. its all about influence.. period!!!!
